Concentrate on the time period 1877-1920, primarily domestic policy.

Answer the Discussion Questions that go along with your discussion topic. To get full points, you must include an answer to the numbered prompt as well as the lettered questions. Answers should be thoughtful and thorough.

THREE POINTED QUESTIONS:
In addition to answering the discussion questions for your assigned meeting of the minds discussion, you are required to come prepared with THREE POINTED QUESTIONS. These will be questions your character can ask during the meeting. These questions must be thoughtful and beyond a yes/no answer. The purpose is to create a broader discussion, to get people who aren’t sharing in the “meeting” to share, and to force those who disagree with you to defend their positions (Similar to YAP questions that groups create).
The questions must be in the following format:
1. A relevant question to ask to the “meeting” in general
2. A relevant question asked to someone who holds the opposite opinion your character holds
3. A relevant opinion question asked about an issue your character feels strongly about

At Britannica Online search all levels at once or just high school level materials. Here you will find encyclopedia entries and images. An encyclopedia is a great place to find the basic facts about your historical figure.

Enter your historical figures name into the search box in the upper left hand corner. This database will link you to encycopledia articles as well as materials from academic journals, magazines and newspapers not to mention photographs and primary source materials.
