Assignment

The Question
What was your greatest idea or contribution to society, and what effect has it had on the world?

 Task
You will create a “postcard” of your revolutionary thinker that will be posted as part of our thinker gallery walk that will take place during class on Tuesday, April 26th. The gallery walk will give students a chance to get to know the thinker you have done research on, so all students will get a better idea of the tremendous accomplishments of each figure.

Postcard Requirements
--1 sheet of 8.5x11 paper is all that is needed—a poster board is not required or expected.
--Picture (preferably in color) of your revolutionary thinker
--Example of your thinker’s great idea—this could be an image of a painting, an invention, lyrics to a poem, text from a book or speech, etc.
--6-8 pieces of information summarizing the key points of your thinker. These could be in a paragraph, bullet-points, a thinking map, or some other graphic organizer or format, but they should give the basics on your thinker’s biographical background, greatest idea or contribution, and impact on the world.
--
The postcard is worth 10 points. You will have an additional assignment to complete while going on the gallery walk which will also be worth 10 points.
